Terms of service

Terms of Service

Last updated: September 2026

These Terms of Service explain the terms on which products are sold through the Bojangles & Tails website.

Please read these terms carefully before placing an order. By placing an order through our website, you agree to these terms.

Nothing in these Terms of Service affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. About Us

Bojangles & Tails is a trading name of:

JB Modern Classics

Trading as: Bojangles & Tails

Business address:
Red House, Botley Road, Shedfield, Southampton SO32 2HN

Throughout these terms, references to “Bojangles & Tails”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the business identified above.

2. About Our Website

Our website allows customers to browse and purchase Bojangles & Tails products, including dog collars, leads, show accessories, beds, blankets, crate mats and other dog accessories.

We may update, change or discontinue products or website features from time to time.

Any changes will not affect orders that we have already accepted unless we agree otherwise with you.

3. Product Information

We make every reasonable effort to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, dimensions, specifications, colours and prices shown on our website are accurate.

Because screens display colours differently and some of our products may contain natural, handmade or textile materials, minor variations in colour, texture, pattern or finish may occur.

Where products are handmade, small variations may form part of the individual nature of the product.

These reasonable variations do not affect your statutory rights, and products must still match their description and be of satisfactory quality.

Please check product descriptions and sizing information carefully before ordering.

4. Choosing the Correct Size

Where a product is available in different sizes, customers are responsible for selecting the appropriate size using the information and measurement guidance provided on our website.

We recommend measuring your dog carefully before ordering collars, harnesses or other size-dependent products.

If you are unsure which size to choose, please contact us before ordering and we will be happy to help.

This does not affect your rights where an item is faulty, incorrectly supplied or does not match its description.

5. Placing an Order

When you place an order through our website, you are offering to purchase the selected products subject to these Terms of Service.

You will normally receive an automated order confirmation after submitting your order.

This confirms that we have received your order but does not necessarily mean that we have accepted it.

A contract between you and Bojangles & Tails is formed when we accept your order and confirm that it is being processed or dispatched.

We reserve the right not to accept an order where, for example:

  • a product is unavailable

  • there is an obvious pricing or description error

  • payment cannot be authorised

  • we are unable to deliver to the requested address

  • we reasonably suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity

If payment has already been taken for an order that we cannot accept, we will refund the relevant amount.

6. Prices

All prices displayed on our website are shown in pounds sterling (£).

Any applicable taxes will be included or shown as required.

Delivery charges, where applicable, will be clearly displayed before you complete your purchase.

We may change prices at any time, but price changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted.

If an obvious pricing error occurs, we will contact you before processing the order.

You will have the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel the order for a full refund.

7. Payment

Available payment methods are displayed during checkout.

You must provide accurate and complete payment and billing information.

By submitting payment details, you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided.

Payment processing may be carried out securely by third-party payment providers.

We do not guarantee that every payment method will be available at all times.

8. Product Availability

All products are subject to availability.

We aim to keep stock information accurate, but occasionally a product may become unavailable after an order has been placed.

If this happens, we will contact you and either:

  • offer a suitable alternative where appropriate

  • advise you of an expected availability date, or

  • cancel the affected item and provide a refund

We will not substitute a materially different product without your agreement.

9. Delivery

Delivery options, charges and estimated delivery times will be provided on our website and/or during checkout.

Please ensure that the delivery address supplied with your order is complete and accurate.

Unless we have agreed otherwise with you, goods will normally be delivered without undue delay and within 30 days of the contract being entered into.

Delivery estimates are estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates unless we specifically agree that delivery by a particular date is essential.

Further information is available in our Shipping & Delivery Policy.

10. Risk During Delivery

Products remain at our risk until they come into the physical possession of you or a person you have identified to receive them on your behalf.

Risk does not transfer to you merely because we have handed the parcel to our courier.

If you independently arrange for a carrier that we did not offer as a delivery option, risk may pass to you when the goods are handed to that carrier, as permitted by law.

Nothing in this section limits your statutory consumer rights.

11. Ownership of Products

Ownership of the products passes to you once we have received payment in full and the goods have been delivered to you.

12. Delayed or Missing Deliveries

If your order has not arrived within the expected delivery period, please contact us.

We will investigate the delivery with the relevant carrier.

Where we are responsible for arranging delivery, we remain responsible for the goods until they are delivered to you or your nominated recipient.

Your statutory rights in relation to delayed or failed delivery are not affected.

13. Your Right to Cancel

If you are a UK consumer purchasing eligible goods online, you generally have the right to change your mind and cancel your contract within 14 days after receiving the goods, without giving a reason.

After notifying us that you wish to cancel, you normally have a further 14 days to return the goods.

Further information about how to cancel and return an order is contained in our Return & Refund Policy.

14. Personalised and Custom-Made Products

The normal change-of-mind cancellation right may not apply to products that have been made specifically to your individual specifications or clearly personalised for you.

Where a product falls within this exception, we will make this clear before purchase wherever reasonably possible.

This exception does not affect your statutory rights if a personalised or custom-made product is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described.

15. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products

Under UK consumer law, products supplied by us must meet applicable statutory requirements, including being:

  • of satisfactory quality

  • fit for their usual purpose and any particular purpose agreed with us

  • as described

If you receive an item that is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Your legal rights relating to faulty goods are separate from, and may extend beyond, the change-of-mind cancellation rights described in our Return & Refund Policy.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer legislation.

16. Returns and Refunds

Our Return & Refund Policy forms part of these Terms of Service and explains:

  • change-of-mind returns

  • return time limits

  • return postage

  • exchanges

  • faulty products

  • personalised products

  • refunds

Please read that policy before placing an order.

Where there is any conflict between our policies and your statutory consumer rights, your statutory rights will apply.

17. Care and Safe Use of Products

Please use products only for their intended purpose and follow any care, sizing or safety guidance supplied with the product.

Dog collars, leads and accessories should be inspected regularly for wear, damage or deterioration.

You should stop using an item if it becomes damaged or unsafe.

The suitability of a particular product can depend on factors including your dog's size, strength, behaviour and intended use.

Nothing in this section removes or restricts our responsibility for supplying products that are safe, of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.

18. Promotions and Discount Codes

From time to time we may offer discount codes, sales or promotional offers.

Promotions may be subject to additional terms, including:

  • expiry dates

  • minimum order values

  • specific eligible products

  • limits on the number of uses

Unless otherwise stated, promotional codes cannot be exchanged for cash.

We reserve the right to withdraw or amend a promotion where necessary, but we will not retrospectively change the price of an order already accepted.

Nothing about a sale or promotion affects your statutory consumer rights.

19. Gift Cards

Where gift cards are offered, any specific validity period and conditions will be made clear when the gift card is purchased.

Gift cards are subject to applicable consumer law.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

20. Customer Accounts

Where our website allows you to create an account, you are responsible for keeping your account information and password secure.

Please provide accurate and current information and notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.

We may suspend or close an account where we reasonably believe it is being used fraudulently, unlawfully or in breach of these terms.

21. Acceptable Use of Our Website

You must not knowingly:

  • use our website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to our website or systems

  • introduce viruses, malware or other harmful material

  • interfere with the operation or security of the website

  • use automated systems to extract website content in a way that infringes our rights or disrupts the service

22. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the content of the Bojangles & Tails website, including our branding, copy, graphics, photographs and design elements, belongs to us or is used by us with permission.

You may view and use the website for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You must not reproduce, distribute, commercially exploit or substantially copy our protected content without permission, except where permitted by law.

23. Third-Party Services and Links

Our website may contain links to websites, payment services or other services operated by third parties.

We are not responsible for the content or operation of independent third-party websites that we do not control.

Where a third-party service is used to fulfil part of your order, this does not remove any legal responsibility that remains with us as the retailer.

24. Privacy and Personal Information

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Please read our Privacy Policy for information about how we collect, use and protect your personal information.

25. Our Responsibility to You

We are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of us breaching these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was entered into.

We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by our negligence

  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

  • faulty goods where liability cannot lawfully be excluded

  • any statutory consumer right that cannot legally be excluded or restricted

Products sold through our consumer website are intended primarily for personal and domestic use.

We are not responsible for business losses such as loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity or goodwill arising from a consumer purchase, except where the law provides otherwise.

26. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control

We will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by events genuinely outside our reasonable control.

Where such an event materially affects your order, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect and keep you informed.

Your statutory rights, including any applicable rights relating to delayed delivery or cancellation, remain unaffected.

27. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes to our business, website or applicable law.

The terms applying to your purchase will normally be those in force when your order was placed.

The latest version will be available on our website.

28. If Part of These Terms Is Invalid

If any provision of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

29. No Waiver

If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these terms, that does not mean that we have given up our right to enforce it later.

30. Governing Law

These Terms of Service and any contract between you and Bojangles & Tails are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protections and rights to bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable law.

Nothing in these terms removes any mandatory rights you have as a consumer.
